There are only three runners here, all of which are molded in the same bright pink color. The hull, etc, are all included on runners. The back of the band shows that you get two feline crew members, one of which is molded in the perfect shape to fit in the hatch, happily commanding its little pink war machine. The box is just the same as the old release, with the addition of this cardboard band (I suppose you could call it an obi) that features illustrations of the new figures. There are plenty of tanks with perfectly normal color schemes in the World War Toons line, but the Pinky line is particularly interesting thanks to the colors, box art, and super cute characters. This month, by popular demand, Meng has re-released the Sherman and two other kits with resin figures based off the box art.įor those of you just tuning in, World War Toons is a game by Studio Roqovan that includes “egg” tanks, which is what these squished, non-scale kits are based on. It was the first entry in the Pinky line of World War Toons model kits from Meng, meaning it was the first to feature cute box art and vibrant color molds.
The original World War Toons pink M4A1 Sherman was released in May of 2018.
